Woman charged in Belconnen death case

Police have arrested an 18-year-old Belconnen woman as part of their investigation into the death of a Belconnen man earlier this year.

Andre Le Dinh died on May 20 from severe head injuries inflicted by another person in his fourth-floor apartment on College Street in Belconnen, in what police have previously described as a targeted attack.

Late yesterday afternoon, detectives arrested the woman at a Belconnen apartment and took her to the Winchester Police Centre, where they questioned her for two hours.

The woman was subsequently taken to the ACT Watch-House and charged with conspiracy to commit a robbery, aiding and abetting a robbery and trafficking in a prohibited substance. She will appear in the ACT Magistrates Court this morning.

Police said yesterday they were still considering laying additional charges against the 18-year-old and other suspects.
