Free Volunteer Management Workshop Series for Community Groups

Conservation Volunteers in partnership with Toyota are helping organisations who rely on volunteers with a "Change Management in Community Groups" workshop.

On Wednesday 20 October, participants from community groups are invited to attend the workshop hosted by Oldmac Toyota in Springwood. The workshop will run between 9.15 and 12.30 and be presented by Conservation Volunteers Training Manager,  Graeme Hickingbotham.

Conservation Volunteers Australia Chief Executive Officer Colin Jackson said "with over 6.3 million Australian adults volunteering each year the Volunteer Management Workshop being delivered by Conservation Volunteers Australia in partnership with Toyota Australia is providing a valuable resource for community groups. Volunteers contribute hundreds of millions of dollars to the Australian economy and provide a significant service to the community.”

The workshop is part of a national workshop series being held between October 2010 and March 2011 designed to share experience and expertise with volunteer managers and coordinators.

Conservation Volunteers and Toyota have worked together for a number of years to recognise and reward more volunteers.

Conservation Volunteers is Australia's leading practical conservation organisation.  Conservation Volunteers Australia welcomes more than 10,000 volunteers a year and works in partnership to assist more than 2,000 priority conservation projects.  Since 2004 Conservation Volunteers Australia has been working in partnership with Toyota to recognise the skills gained by volunteers.
