Sewage and flooding-related public liability claims


BRISBANE residents are kicking up a stink over leaking sewerage pipes and burst water mains.
Documents obtained under Right to Information laws reveal Brisbane City Council has spent more than $200,000 in two years investigating, defending and settling compensation claims.
The council has set aside another $738,000 for costs associated with cases yet to be finalised.
