Prime Minister's XI finalised

The Prime Minister's XI team has been finalised for Monday's clash against England at Manuka Oval with James Pattinson and Trent Copeland called in to cover injured duo Josh Hazelwood and Mitchell Starc.

Hazelwood failed to overcome stress fractures in his back while Australian one-day representative Starc is still battling a side strain.

Victorian Pattinson played in the PM's XI side which was beaten by the West Indies last year, and averages 23.85 with the ball at one-day domestic level.

Copeland meanwhile will make his debut in the fixture, and has been tipped as a future star of the game following his 10-wicket first-class debut last season.

Both players will be pushing their claims for a spot in Australia's World Cup squad.

Meanwhile, legendary quick bowler Brett Lee and Australian Test debutant Usman Khawaja have been confirmed for the game along with fellow New South Welshman Nic Maddinson.

NSW has a Twenty20 Big Bash game on Sunday night, but the NSW trio will travel to Canberra on the match's completion to represent the PM's XI.

PRIME MINISTER'S XI: Tim Paine (TAS - Captain), Callum Ferguson (SA - Vice captain), Dan Christian (SA), Xavier Doherty (TAS), Trent Copeland (NSW), Alex Keath (VIC), Usman Khawaja (NSW), Brett Lee (NSW), Tom Thornton (ACT), Nic Maddinson (NSW), James Pattinson (VIC), Josh Anderson (ACT 12th man)
