A MAN will appear in court today charged with multiple firearm offences after being arrested at Canterbury this morning.
Police patrolling Ward Ave spoke to two men in a parked Nissan Pulsar and on searching the car found a black handgun in a white plastic bag under the car and a pair of bolt cutters.
A man, 20, of Padstow, was taken to Campsie police station and charged with multiple firearm offences. He was refused bail and is to appeal in Parramatta Bail Court later today.
A man, 21, was released pending further investigation.
