Monaghan quits NRL

JOEL Monaghan has broken his silence on that ''moment of madness'', announcing he will quit the NRL and pleading with officials not to blacklist him forever.

Monaghan created headlines after a photograph of him simulating a sex act with a dog was published on the internet.

The Canberra, NSW and Australian centre unreservedly apologised for a prank which could spell the end of his NRL career.
