Road congestion hot topic at Hills Business Summit

Traffic congestion, infrastructure and road safety were on the menu at the first Hills Business Summit last week.

Crowne Plaza Hotel at Norwest was the venue for the summit hosted by IC Frith at the special Sydney Hills Business Chamber breakfast.

A specialist panel included Hills Shire Council’s Mayor Peter Dimbrowsky, strategic planning group manager Michael Edgar and infrastructure planning manager Andrew King and chamber president Tony Moran.

They were joined by representatives from Cumberland Courier Newspapers, Hills Local Area Command, Busways, and solicitors from Dooley and Associates.

MC John May from IC Frith fielded questions from 95 chamber members and guests on four key topics - transport, safety, economic development and connecting business.

Congestion around Norwest Business Park and Showground Rd at Castle Hill were hot topics.

“Norwest is not just a business park,” Cr Dimbrowsky said. “It’s a powerhouse, an economic driver for all of Sydney”.
